Rules and Conditions:

The rule of the singles of squash of WSF will apply. Also CSRA’s handbook regarding national point system will apply.

Categories:

Men's Draw, Men's plate*, places 5-8. Ladies Draw, Ladies plate*, places 5-8. Entry to the plate event requires participation to the main event in the same category.

*Subject to sufficient entries and court availability.

Insurance:

Players enter the Tournament at their own risk. The UCY Athletic Department DOES NOT accept any responsibility for either injury arising from participation, or loss of property in this event.

Entries:

Any player holding a valid health certificate is eligible to enter the tournament. Dead line for submitting all entries is Thursday 7 January 2010. All entries should be faxed or emailed to Tournament Director. Fax 22876556 / email: matlyr@cytanet.com.cy

Prizes:

Trophies will be given to the winners of the 3 first places of the main categories and to the winners of the 2 first places in the plate event. Trophies will be presented to all winners in a ceremony at the end of the season (time and place will be announced).

Rankings:

The rankings will be decided by the UCY Athletic Department.

Draw:

The draw will take place on Thursday January 7th, 2010 at 7:00 p.m.

Program:

All matches will be held from 6:00 -10:00 p.m. on Weekdays and from 10:00 am to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Please note that all players should be able to attend during the above-mentioned hours, because NO changes of the timetable will be allowed.

All first day match schedules will be with Michalis Lyras (99663970) on Friday morning 8th of January.

All players are requested to turn up fifteen minutes before their scheduled match time. Players who are more than 10 minutes late will be disqualified from the tournament. The finals for all the events will be held on Saturday afternoon.

Penalties:

If a player has entered for the tournament does not show up, or does not play all the matches for final places, will be banned from participating in the next tournament. In case the UCY Athletic Department receives a doctor's certificate within 2 days after the final day of the tournament, the case will be re-examined.

Refereeing:

Every match winner is obliged by the rules of the tournament to referee one match following their own. Failure to comply may result to disqualification of the player.
